Of Our Valley, Celebrating 30 Years of
Art in Steamboat Springs
July 26 - September 15, 2002
The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is pleased to present a special exhibit to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the SSAC.
The theme of this exhibit will be Reflections on Life in the Yampa Valley and will feature the work of present and former local artists, who, in some way, were instrumental in helping grow the art community in the Yampa Valley. Much of the artwork will be created especially for this exhibit.
All of the artists invited to participate have in years past been, or are currently, committed to the mission of the Arts Council and have made significant contributions to the evolution of the visual arts programming at The Depot. Some of the artists to be included are Jean Perry, Curtis Zabel, Rod Hanna, Edie Dismuke, Jim Steinberg, Joan Hoffmann, Dennis Pendleton, Deborah Currier, Diane Cionni, Susan Scheisser, Deb Proper, Karen Schulman, MB Warner, RC Dieckhoff, and many others.
Meet the artists at a Public Opening Reception on July 26 from 5:00 - 8:00pm. Many out-of-town participating artists will return to Steamboat for this event. Entertainment will be provided by local Yampa Valley musicians. Join us Saturday, July 27, at 9:00am for a Gallery Talk with the artists. We look forward to this opportunity celebrate Yampa Valley artists and their contribution to this beautiful valley.
